When we hear road trips, we think of adventure travel trips with our friends and peers. Sadly, we rarely include our elderly parents on such trips for reasons like inability to travel or cope with us due to their old age. However, that does not necessarily mean that we cannot choose places where we can take our elderly parents. Here are a few places where you can take road trips in India.
Spirituality clicks well with old age. What better place to offer your parents than a road trip to Shirdi? Located in Maharashtra, Shirdi is a religious sanctum that your ageing parents will not be able to say no to. A small, discreet town bustling with devotees and pilgrims, Shirdi can be the perfect getaway for your parents and you. People come to Shirdi in the memory of Sai Baba and pay respect to his memories. So naturally, all kinds of travellers come here. You will not find a dearth of hotels and accommodation places here. While at Shirdi, you can also visit the nearby places of interest like Ajanta & Ellora caves, Alandi, Nashik and Shegaon.
